Almost every website uses cookies, and ThumbGrab is no exception. This page explains what they are, which ones you might meet here, and how you can control them.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember that you've been there before, or helps its owner count visits. Cookies can't run programs or read files on your device.
Cookies you may meet on this site
| Cookie | Set by | What it's for | Typical lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another so we can count visits | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_ followed by an ID | Google Analytics | Keeps track of a browsing session | Up to 2 years |
| Blogger and Google service cookies | Keep the hosting platform secure and working properly | Varies |
Lifespans are Google's usual defaults and can change. We don't control them.
Advertising cookies
If we show ads, our advertising partners, Google included, may set cookies to deliver ads that match your interests and to measure how well they work. You can adjust this through Google Ads Settings. We'll update this page if our advertising changes.
Other things stored in your browser
The site may keep a small preference, such as a display setting, in your browser's local storage so it can remember your choice next time. It stays on your device and we can't read it. Fonts from Google Fonts load from Google's servers when the page opens.
What we don't do
We don't use cookies to track you across the web for our own purposes, and we don't sell information gathered through cookies.
How to control cookies
- In your browser. Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies. For Chrome, see how to manage cookies in Chrome. Other browsers have similar settings under Privacy or Security.
- Opt out of Analytics. Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Private browsing. Cookies set in a private window are normally deleted when you close it.
Blocking cookies won't stop the downloader from working, because it doesn't depend on them. Some other features of sites you visit may behave differently.
More information
How we handle your information overall is covered in our Privacy Policy. If something here isn't clear, write to us through the Contact page.
